Sverigefiskekortet (fishing licence)
Welcome to over 800 fishing waters in 41 municipalities! The Sverigefiskekortet offers a wide range of fishing in everything from roaring rapids to still forest lakes.
The Sverigefiskekortet offers a wide range of fishing in still forest lakes, rivers and large lakes. The fish stocks vary between the different waters. In the south there are pike and perch as well as rarer species such as tench, white beam and crucian carp. In Bergslagen's waters you will find pike and perch as well as trout. The flowing waters of northern Sweden offer grayling and trout, and the lakes perch and pike. Char can also be found in some waters. The rivers in the north provide good salmon fishing at certain times of the year.
Many of the fishing waters lie in areas that offer good conditions for other outdoor pursuits also. Some waters lie close to well managed fishing tourism services which provide fishing licences for their own water, as well as accommodation and other services. In the north many of the river bank stretches and lakes are quite isolated, which makes them less accessible, thus enhancing the wilderness feeling.
The Sverigefiskekortet is a product provided by Sveaskog and the National Property Board Sweden, which also owns the land the fishing waters are located on.
